Epic templates with child issues in different projects are now supported.
Example
Assume the template with the following structure:
Proj A Epic

Proj A task 1 -
Proj A task 2 -
Proj B task 1 -
Proj C task 1
When creating an issue from this template, the user chooses a destination project (for example, Proj Y). Work items from Proj A are created in Proj Y; items from Proj B and Proj C remain in their original projects.
This addresses a long-standing request and is useful for onboarding: administrative tasks can remain in HR, while hardware and software setup tasks stay in DevOps.
